A private detective's investigation on a group of woman gangsters led by Mama Bosan brings him to an infidelity case. This is the first Malaysian film to combine both live action and animation into one.

The films story takes place over the course of one day. Bapak senses that he does not have much time left and so he invites his offspring to have dinner with him the next evening. He want to discuss some family matters concerning their inheritance, a large part of which is his home, a large sprawling house set in an acre of prime real estate located in the centre of Kuala Lumpur. An unexpected visit by two strangers leads Bapak to change his plans and bring the dinner forward to that evening instead.

Rin makes singing as a side career, although he has high academic qualifications. His career has come to fruition in which he has made his name as a singer. After his mother's death, he seems to lose direction and purpose in life. His father Datuk Rahim was a successful entrepreneur and at the same time wants his son to follow in his footsteps to help run the business. Rin close friends with a mechanic who has his own workshop.

Haikal is a producer who faces the loss of his Caucian wife, Linda after she gave birth to their child. He travels to East Coast Malaysia in search of his identity of being a Malay. As he arrives there, he meets with a girl named Mustika who still upholds the tradition of Malay. Although she is engaged, Haikal finds himself strongly attracted to her and determined to make a cultural Malay stage theatre.

Mastura, who returns from her studies abroad, feels the loss of her good pal, E.J. who has chosen to follow the path of the religious extremist group led by Brother Musa. She decides to pick up voluntary work as her mission to promote good will for society. Halim, who has had experiences working abroad serving the Middle East, supports Mastura’s good intention and encourages her to join ‘Rescaid’, a volunteer organization. In her line of duty in helping the children refugees from Palestine, Mastura falls in love with Kamal, a divorcee who shares the cause she is pursuing. The success of a nation-wide charity concert promoted by Mastura and the team from ‘Rescaid’ becomes the pride of the locals, until one day, tragedy strikes unexpectedly. However, it does not kill Mastura’s determination to protect the fate of the unfortunate.

Through his experience, Latiff understands the tragic circumstances that led to him being orphaned, and also finds an old friend...The Red Kebaya.

Deeply traumatised by these insults, Ari continues to hide behind his close relationship with Tina. Despite parental objections, Tina seems destined to be the next in line as custodian of the mystical tiger. But Ari steps in, offering himself instead.

While two of them grudgingly carry out the request made by the publisher, Zahari, one of them takes on the role enthusiastically. Along the way, they find themselves immersed in the characters, emotional moments, identifying with and finding meaning in the struggle of ‘1957’. They weave the story of independence by transporting themselves back to the past. Ordinary Malaysians who fell in love, and found their love for the country override their personal emotions. The present characters find new meaning to ‘Merdeka’
