Lysistrata led the women of ancient Greece in forcing men to stop the war, that was devastating the land for 21 years. At secret assembly of the women delegates from both sides of the conflict, Lysistrata declared: "We must refrain from the male altogether - till the men come to terms of peace". Her instruction to every wife or mistress was to refuse all sexual favors whatsoever, and sit prettily dressed in best transparent silks, till the men yield to peace.

The teacher scolds Keshka for deuces in English. Instead of doing homework, Keshka succumbs to the persuasion of friends and goes to the video salon for a horror movie with the famous character Freddy Krueger. But Keshka is bored. He falls asleep and has a nightmare.

A free-spirited, guileless and amoral young woman, who works as a maid in the home of one of the most prominent and influential families in France was discovered in her bedroom, naked and unconscious, with the body of her Spanish lover Miguel across the room and the gun that killed him by her side. As the movie begins, she is being brought before the Examining Magistrate to determine if there is enough evidence to take her to trial where, under the French legal system she will be considered guilty unless proven innocent...

In the 1920s, Soviet power came to the remote areas of the Polessky marshes. However, the wealthy landowners of the village of Kureny had no intention of giving their land to the peasants. Gangs intimidated the people. But the peasants themselves took the first step: the entire village set out to build a causeway across the marsh-road to a new life.

A murderer is using every possible trick in his efforts to escape from justice. He is extremely crafty in his ways of infiltrating the government. He becomes a politician with growing status and influence and an official immunity from prosecution.
