From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia Yukiji Asaoka (born July 23, 1935) is a Japanese singer and an actress from Chūō, Tokyo. She is the daughter of the famous Japanese painter of shin hanga style prints, Shinsui Itō, and her second and present husband is actor Masahiko Tsugawa. Asaoka was in the Takarazuka Revue from 1952 to 1955. She was a cast member (musumeyaku), belonging to the Moon Troupe (Tsuki). She is famous for her roles in Japanese television series and has appeared starring opposite of Shintaro Katsu in both a film of the Zatoichi series and in the first film of the Hanzo the Razor trilogy. She is, however, mostly famed for her singing. She is also a voice actor, or seiyū, in the 1999 anime film My Neighbors the Yamadas directed by Isao Takahata. A mysterious swordsman called Hatokuro Yawata (Ken Matsudaira) who appeared from somewhere with white pigeons is actually Naotada Ii, the lord of Hikone Han. He was told that he had an older brother of twin by his mother on her deathbed. Hatokuro pretended to be a citizen in Edo and searched for his brother. However, in Edo, Murasaki Gumi, led by the mysterious Murasaki had power and used it as they like. One day, Hatokuro saved Okyu whose office-worker father was killed from Sanjuro Akaseki of Murasakigumi. It brought about a fierce fight between Murasaki and Hatokuro. What is the identity of Murasaki!?

Emiko Hayasaka (Seiko Matsuda), who lives in Hawaii, has arranged a marriage with Akira Kuniyoshi (Shinji Yamashita), the son of the president of a hotel chain. Although Emiko is not yet ready to get married, Akira and both of her parents are enthusiastic about the matchmaking. During a summer vacation in Japan, Emiko is attacked with a knife by a boy, but is saved by Shinji Terao (Kiichi Nakai), a young man who happens to be passing by. Shinji is passionate about windsurfing and trains hard every day for the world championships. Emiko is attracted to him because of his sincerity, though he is not very sociable. Upon returning to Hawaii, she overcame her parents' objections and got him to break off his proposal to Akira. Meanwhile, the world competition is approaching and Shinji comes to Hawaii from Japan.

After a yakuza boss is assassinated by a rival, his naval officer son returns home to take over the gang.

In the mid-Tokugawa period, a conflict arose over the "Seiryū Himon," a secret document left by the former shogun Iesai, bequeathing the eighth shogunate to young Lord Manguro of Owari domain. This document became the center of a struggle between the current shogun, Yoshimune, and Manguro. Iida Daisuke, a member of the shogunate's secret intelligence group, the Kurokuwa Group, stole the document from Owari but was killed by Manguro's men. The document then fell into the hands of Yozakura Ogin, who had pledged her life to Daisuke.
