Excitement pervades through a university preparing for the annual school festival. Meanwhile, a calm atmosphere hangs over the club room of the film studies group which does not really have an exhibition. But Sara, who dreamed there was something in the corner of the club room, finds an old cardboard box that morning.
Based on the manga of the same name by Mamora Goda, a manga artist known for works such as Kirakira Hikaru, this human drama depicts a father who has no interest in his daughter and a daughter who has forgotten her father.

Having failed with his business and gone absolutely penniless, Masao (45) divorced with his wife, and is currently leading a hopeless life in Ibaraki. One day, a mysterious high school girl, going by the name Emiko, showed up before Masao. Every now and then, Masao would be toyed around by Emiko, but little by little he started taking a liking to her loveliness. As days went by, Masao started opening up to Emiko – something that he rarely did to others. However, there was just something about Emiko – something that bothered Masao - that wouldn’t go away.
Echizen Washi artisan Takeo has lived in emotional isolation since the death of his wife, but he collapses due to a brain tumor and is in need of care. Yona, a Korean woman in Japan on a working holiday, comes to his aid. Stubborn Takeo and pushy Yona butt heads repeatedly, but gradually Takeo opens up under Yona's care.
Akemi is unable to get over the death of his girlfriend, but a book leads to his encounter with Akane, a woman with a wonderful smile. He gradually falls for Akane, who soothes him with her positive outlook and cheerful disposition, but Akane has a boyfriend who has a limited amount of time left to live.
