Wang Xiaozhen (born 1989; Linyi, Shandong Province) is a Chinese documentary filmmaker. Wang Xiaozhen graduated with an MA in film directing from Northeast Normal University in Changchun, China. He describes himself as a calligrapher, writer, painter, and independent filmmaker. In 2013, he wrote and directed his first feature film "Around That Winter" (2013). Selected as the opening film of the Beijing Independent Film Festival, the film won the Best Debut Film Award at the same year edition of the China Independent Film Festival. Love Poem (2020) is his second feature film.

Dreams can be an escape from reality. On a winter day, Xu Bo visits his junior high school language teacher, then goes downstairs to Yuzi's house to listen to her play the piano and smoke his first cigarette.Li Ke went to meet her elementary school classmate,whom she hadn't seen for years. During the time she spent together, Li Ke realized that Ke Ru was in a similar situation as her;Wang went to the city where Mei Yu lives, but Mei Yu did not make it to the meeting; Song Song was Wang's junior in college.Wang wanted to go to him to seek emotional solace, but unexpectedly encountered a "nightmare". The three main characters don't know each other but have some kind of emotional connection, a kind of reincarnation in the underworld.

Wen Yuwen, a cute and naive high school girl, loves Chinese far more than math. She tentatively steps into billiard halls, clothing stores and hotels — places of the adult world. She also begins to confront growing pains: relationships with the opposite sex, studying abroad, and her father’s infidelity. Confused yet brave at times, she embarks on a stumbling adventure of youth.
