Biography
Huang Wanqiu died of illness on March 4, 2023 at the age of 80. Huang Wanqiu was a famous performing artist in China and a national first-class top actor. She was a director of the Chinese Dramatists Association, a member of the Chinese Film Association, a director of the Chinese National Vocal Music Research Association, a director of the Guangxi China International Cultural Exchange Center, to name a few positions she had. Huang Wanqiu started her career in performing arts at the age of thirteen, engaged in the stage art of Gui Opera.

Third Sister Liu
Liu Sanjie is a story that originates from the Zhuang minority people; the largest of the minority groups in China. It’s based on the legend of a woman called Liu Sanjie (literally meaning “third sister of Liu family”). Across generations, the story has become an oral tradition amongst these people and similar characters have even been found to exist in other minority cultures. According to legend, Liu Sanjie had the gift of a beautiful singing voice from a very early age. So beautiful was her voice, she could quell anger and raise the spirits of the people around her. The story became famous around China when the movie Liu Sanjie was released in 1960 – a rare musical production in Chinese cinema.
Fire on the Great Wall
Ninja Over the Great Wall takes place in the early nineteen-thirties when China was occupied by the Japanese imperial forces. Wa Chi Keung is a peasant who escaped the mass murder of his village by the Japanese. He joins his master in Bejing shortly before the old man's assassination by ninjas.
