Uli has found an old book in the attic of the Kulturhaus that tells of the exploitation of the peasants by the feudal lords. He tries to imagine how the robber barons would fare in a socialist village. Then two of this type step out of a dusty picture and Uli joins them on their way to the village. There they fail miserably with their overbearing behavior, and even a break-in turns into a failure.
„White mouse“ Fritz controls the traffic on Dresden’s Körner Square. Helene, who crosses the junction on her motor scooter every day, has taken a shine to Fritz a long while ago. Although Fritz yields right-of-way to her remarkably often, the two have not spoken to each other. In order to finally get to know him better, Helene deliberately performs a traffic violation. Her plan is working: She is ordered to take road safety education lessons from Fritz and they get closer. New problems arise in the shape of Mrs. Messmer who must pay a monetary fine. She feels discriminated against by Fritz and complains about him to his supervisor.
It is nighttime, church bells ring in the distance, and the wind whistles through the trees. A man wearing a coat, hat, and carrying a flashlight sneaks around the house of interior designer Patricia Harrison. The kitchen window is open, allowing the stranger to gain access to the villa. He seems to be looking for something, but is interrupted by Patricia's sudden appearance. The man tries to strangle the woman, but the victim grabs a knife and kills the stranger in self-defense. Although the interior designer repeatedly insists in the following days that she has never seen the man before, evidence mounts that this is not true.
