Directing
Walter Bannert (November 28, 1942 - September 10, 2020) was an Austrian film director, producer and actor. He is most known for the cult film DIE ERBEN (1982) (written and directed) and for co-founding Cinecoop Films with which he produced auteur cinema in the 70s.

Teen-aged Tonyhas never known who is father is. Together with his best buddies Peter and Susan, he tracks down the clues he has as well as he can.

While his parents are on holiday, Huey and his buddies borrow their car and go out. After pursuing a gang of girls, Huey crashes the car, and discovering that the repairs will cost a small fortune, the boys must get jobs to pay for the repairs before Huey's parents get home. The boys all land jobs as porters in the Beachfront Hotel, where their minds are taken off their problems by girls!!

A neo-Nazi organization is recruiting in the 1980s, and two youths of high-school age join for similar reasons, despite class differences. Thomas is the son of a self-made industrialist father and a scolding social-climbing mother. He attends private school and has a brother who's an accomplished musician, but neither can satisfy mom's constant demands for school and social success. She belittles them, and there's incessant bickering at their table. Charly, a dropout, is the son of an abusive, alcoholic laborer. In the youth group, each finds order, respect, camaraderie, and adults who seem to value them. Where do domestic abuse and sanctioned political violence end?

Petra Winter, the notorious headmistress of Berlin's Fröbel-Gymnasium, is known for her strictness and harsh treatment of the school administration. Even the friendly janitor Christian Brenner has a hard time with the principal's uptight manner. To get one over on the hated Ms. Winter, her colleagues arrange for her to stand in for the PE teacher. Now the principal, who is feared by the pupils, has to look after the school's flagging soccer team. But what nobody knows is that Petra Winter is a passionate soccer fan. The janitor, who has his eye on the principal, helps her train the team for a crucial match. Over the course of this time, the headmistress softens more and more and realizes that friendship is more important than discipline.

Walter Bannert's life-affirming film depicts the passionate love affair between an apprentice and a student from a middle-class family. Julia Stemberger's first film role also marked her breakthrough as a character actress. 16-year-old toolmaker apprentice David falls in love with Susanne, a politician's daughter of the same age. Their happiness doesn't last long: Susanne becomes pregnant, and David must compete in a boxing match against a seemingly superior opponent.

It has been over 20 years since Maren Bertram left her parents' farm after a bad argument with her father Maximilian. At the time, she blamed her father for her mother's tragic death. Now the successful investment banker returns to her small Bavarian home village. After all these years, she finally wants to reconcile with the old stubborn man, but that is easier said than done. The fact that Maren's childhood sweetheart Johann seems to be involved in the impending forced sale of the farm doesn't make things any easier.
