A Syrian Egyptian actress and director, who studied arts in Damascus and the art of cinema in Paris. She shot her first movie in 1987. She is now directing short movies and working in the theater and television.
The film is about a dreamy girl who belongs to a middle class family. She is dominated by her father who is characterized by severe authority, goodness and tenderness, by conservatism and liberalism. The family lives in a heterogeneous quarter with contradictions among its inhabitants.
An 11-year-old Syrian girl lives with her family in a Syrian refugee camp. The harsh life forces them to work in the nearby fields, then the accumulation of debt forces her parents to marry her to a man who is many years older than her.
