Soviet journalist Ksenia Troitskaya meets Greek film director Memos Yanidis in Moscow, where he is working on an anti-fascist film. As they stroll along the Arbat, they dream of one day meeting again at the corner of Arbat and Bouboulina Street in Athens. But upon returning to his homeland, Memos is imprisoned.

The film is about microbiological scientists who are exploring the causes and mechanisms of the action of oncological diseases, looking for ways to fight this insidious and dangerous disease for humans.

The story happens mainly around "The Old Arbat Street" in the center of Moscow, where always concentrate vendors, poor young artists and musicians. The hero of this film is a boy named Mitiya,who lives with eccentric elder friend in an apartment house on "The Old Arbat". In fact, people who then appear around Mitiya are all unique, eccentric and the space of the apartment house begins to have an unrealistic character as a miniature of unstable society in the end of Soviet Union.

One of the US Air Force's most modern tactical aircrafts, an F-100 with a new laser guidance system, crashes into the sea near Malta - a region where the Soviet forces are highly present, too. The CIA immediately sends out their best secret agent, Ken Tani, to salvage the system before it falls into enemy hands. To ensure his loyalty, they bring his two young sons to a nearby hotel on the island.

The Bolsheviks are good guys and Ukrainian rebels refusing to submit to a new, this time Soviet, slavery are portrayed as bandits and brigands fighting against their own people.

Laid-back private eye Jim Rockford and his brown Pontiac Firebird become embroiled in another case when he runs across an old flame, blind book editor Megan. Her no-good playboy cousin Patrick is involved with the Russian Mob, which puts everyone's life in danger. The weary Rockford must also deal with his old friend Angel, who is painting Jim's trailer to work off a debt.

A married man's one-night stand comes back to haunt him when that lover begins to stalk him and his family.
