A young woman, Miu Ling, who dreams of becoming a secret agent. One day she rescues an injured Agent Wing, who promises to make her his apprentice. From then on, her life is a roller-coaster of madcap adventures.

Three desperate film students resort to extreme measures for a chance at fame in the low-budget Hong Kong indie Final Project, directed by young filmmaker Eric Lam. On his 23rd birthday, film student Kane (Vincent Luk) vowed that he must surpass Orson Welles, who directed Citizen Kane at age 26. However, try as he might, all his efforts have been in vain. Just as he is reaching a dead end, he learns that four famous local directors will be coming to his school. He recruits three classmates – aspiring internet celebrity Fai (Kitson Sham), Muay Thai practitioner Ma Yong (Lee Wan Fung) and clueless actress Queenie – to join his graduation film project, a REC-style pseudo-documentary about abducting and killing the directors. Kane, Fai and Ma Yong pose as staff to get to the directors, but things don't go as planned and the film soon spirals out of control.

On winter solstice day, a tram arrives at the terminus, depositing the last passenger in an old neighbourhood. Roaming eerily empty streets among surroundings at once familiar and strange, the old woman has her mind firmly set on one task, prompting her panic-stricken son to abandon his work and speed to her side. Somewhere, sometime else, a young woman is frantically searching for her little boy. In a city that prides itself on overnight transformations and clearing out the old to make way for the new, the mother takes her son on a reverie where the past and the present, memories and realisations are immutably and inexorably mixed.

At the first glance, a crayon drawing appears the very portrait of a happy family, but a closer examination reveals that something is amiss. Lam Tsi-hei is the eldest son of a family that stares darts and hurls verbal abuse at each other, complete with sibling antagonism and resentment bred by thoughts and feelings left unexpressed. Directly a film on a subject fiercely personal and close to his heart, Tsi-hei digs up a crayon drawing from his boyhood. While cherishing the memories of an affectionate bond that skips a generation, he realises he must go hat-in-hand and repair his relationship with his estranged family.
