During the inspection of the incident, it turns out that the offending vessel threw an object overboard. The border guards, with the help of a journalist assigned to them, establish that this is a radio beacon belonging to one of the Western intelligence services. The commander of the border ship Chaika, realistically assessing the threat that such a transmitting device poses to the country's defense, decides to prevent its removal, for which he simulates a breakdown of the ship...

The film is dedicated to the problems of the origin of man and the existence of bigfoot. The film includes interviews with anthropologists from different countries, eyewitness accounts, photo and film materials.

Young lieutenant arrives to tank regiment stationed in the Central Asia. He uses unusual for Soviet Army methods to train his soldiers. It predictably leads to tensions with superiors and subordinates. However later it pays back during live exercises.

The second part of Soviet filmmaker Sergei Bondarchuk's epic biography of John Reed. It is October 1917 and the American journalist has found himself and his wife, Louise Bryant, in Petrograd on the eve of the Bolshevik revolution.

Sergei Bukreyev arrives with a team of meliorators in another village and immediately draws attention to the director of the farm Anna Talnikova. Her dedication to work scares Sergei, he even wants to persuade her to leave the farm, but understands that Anna will never be happy without her work, and he – without it.
