Young American actor comes to Yugoslavia to star in co-production film of the two countries, only to find out that the director was mysteriously killed. Later he discovers that the reason was his involvement in the white slavery trade.
Cinematic observations and testimonies intertwine with interpretations of contemporary dancers, the author’s sculptural work, and the voices of actors who lend their voices to non-human protagonists: geological formations, infrastructural objects, and animals. The author of the film, whose family was deported from Yugoslavia to Germany during the Second World War, re-learns the Serbian language, and reflects on the notion of migration and progress.
Ljuba and Bora are good students with non-existent sex lives, in contrast to their roommate Giovanni, who has no such troubles despite being an awful student and involved into petty crime. When Giovanni is drafted and his sister moves in with the other two, they see it as the end of their problem.
