The Hitlerian army has merely encroached upon the territory of Ukraine, and the majority of the local people have been already ready to cave in to a new regime. The Ukrainian policemen have killed the boy. It is clear that there is no hope to expect the justice from the invaders, that’s why the killed boy’s mother declares the war on the hangsman.

The young artist, feeling that he is losing faith in himself, leaves the city for the countryside. There he meets amazing people, whose main wealth is the soul, and his moral purification takes place. That's when the truth about man, his destiny, is revealed to him. Love comes to him. Genka is a schoolboy from Moscow. Having seen enough American action movies, he longs for adventure and the opportunity to try himself in a real man's business. His imagination is filled with visions of his idols - Schwarzenegger, Stallone, star humanoids - who offer Genka to leave the earth. However, the hero chooses the "region of heaven“ with true idols who restore the concepts of friendship, honor, and love to their noble meaning, which have been devalued today.

Journalist Tamara Malysheva is deeply unhappy in her personal life with her alcoholic husband, Andrey. The editorial office sends Tamara to a small Ukrainian village to investigate the reasons why a soldier who had just come out of the army stabbed his mother-in-law with an axe and the 11 years of strict prison sentence he received for it. There she meets Yuriy, a man who has been "waiting for her all her life" and with whom she falls in love without looking back. Further events develop.

Film tells the story of one of the most difficult and tragic moments of the liberation war of Ukrainian people against the rule of Poland (1648 - 1657 years) - Battle of Zbarazh.

The main characters - two brothers, Mark and Yasha, are street-smart and know how to get from life all that is necessary. Mark is referred to as the noble bandit, and Yasha, on the contrary, is all about using his intelligence. Passing difficult twists and turns in their youth, the brothers begin to look for stability. Precisely in one of those days they receive the news about the inheritance. They inherit a well-known pawnshop and the owner is their uncle Felix, who doesn't want to let go of it. Mark and Yasha decide to pick up the inheritance by any means. They part ways, but they are ready for anything...

The film covers the period from 1947, when UPA troops broke with fights abroad, and to autumn of 1959, when in Munich KGB agent Bohdan Stashynskyi killed Stepan Bandera.

A young college student and a group of friends find themselves victims of demons unwillingly released during a mishap at a prestiguous university. To reverse the curse and save themselves, they travel to the forbidden mystical forest in western Ukraine. There, they must locate the legendary Molfars that can help rid them of demonic possession and save each of them from certain death. Danger lurks in the forest and personality clashes add to the tension as the young students fight for survival.

Bolsheviks aim to set their rules on the lands of the Western Ukraine repeatedly occupied by them. UPA - the partisan army - resists their policy. The civilian population becomes a hostage of this war "without rules", and above all – relatives of the insurgents. Invaders and their allies cruelly torture the Ukrainian people, but the struggle continues. Irritated, "bolshevists" start evicting people to Siberia. UPA tries to prevent this action, but the forces are not equal. Insurgents can only take revenge and punish the executioners.
