A Russian ex-hit man is called back to Russia for one last job. This time against his former employees, the Russian mob.

Bori (17) refuses to be harassed by the boys. Her artistic, but unstable mother does not give her the support she needs. Her caring grandfather enrolls her in a judo school. There, she realizes that before beating others, one must win the battles within oneself.

Krum (45) is involved in a child trafficking group. Looking for his next victim he stumbles upon a little girl (5) who makes him his committed misdeeds. From being a hunter Krum becomes a sacrifice to his victim.

Four law enforcers with uniforms create a tangled up story, starting as a small town, cheating quarrel, but ending with a murder.

Three friends, Maro, Shpera and Yuri are unemployed and hardly make ends meet. They have complicated and hysterical relationships with the people closest to them. They seem to have emigrated from their families and their country. Provoked by a mysterious telephone call, they set out on a journey, filled with the hope to change their lives.

Two best friends get involved into the domination games of two mafia bosses in post-communist Bulgaria. Clutching like crayfish to the baits of everyday life, they determine their fates: without the other one knowing, they are manipulated to take seemingly harmless tasks. Parallel to the criminal line in the story, our attention is drawn toward the inner problems of the characters, toward the links that exist between everything and everyone. A 12-year-old boy manages to flee a Communist concentration camp on his own, through sheer will and determination. All he has in his possession is a loaf of bread, a letter to deliver to someone in Denmark, and a compass to help get him there.

This is a story of strange, impossible, inexplicable love between a Muslim Turk woman and a non-Muslim Bulgarian man. Ivan (the Bulgarian) is a pure and romantic young fellow, who gets caught up in the so-called "regeneration process" (when ethnic Turks' names were forcibly changed to Bulgarian ones). He is responsible for the official seals, which is required to issue the new identity documents after the forced name changes. The schoolteacher Ayten tries to steal the seals, thinking that this way she can slow down the ethnic genocide. Their unexpected and unusual meeting brings these two characters together and makes them fell close, forcing Ivan to take a fateful decision -he must either "rename" Ayten, or face the consequences if he does not.

This is a story of friendship, love and tolerance as well as of the impossibility to have them together at one place and time, especially right here - on the Balkans.
Rock musicians from Plovdiv arrive at a little village pub named "Nirvana" to perform. Pub visitors accept neither them, nor their music. Thrown out from their hotel, the rock musicians put up at Tosho the Gypsy's house, Tosho being somebody who searches for water with a dowsing rod. The guests befriend their host and even manage to find water in his well which he was unable to uncover. Tosho and one of the musicians are namesakes and his biggest regret is that he does not have a child of his own. As a party flares up in his poor home, Tosho rediscovers passion, but an unexpected event casts a gloom on the night.
