Vaidotas Martinaitis was born in Gargzdai and lives in Vilnius. In 1983-1988 he studied at Klaipeda S. Simkus Higher School of Music (trumpet specialization); from 1988-1990 he studied at the Lithuanian State Conservatoire (trumpet specialization); from 1990-1994 he studied at the Lithuanian Academy of Music, Faculty of Theatre and Film, Department of Acting (actor specialization). Course director - Jonas Vaitkus. From 1991-2011 - actor at the Lithuanian National Drama Theatre. Since 1999 - a member of Oskaras Korsunovas Theatre Company. Since 2012 he has been cooperating with Kaunas State Music Theatre. Since 2012 he has been working as an acting teacher at the M. K. Ciurlionis Art School. From 2012-2014 he conducted acting workshops in the sports dance collective "Ratuto". Best known for Defiance (2008), Nova Lituania (2019) and Stranger Things (2016 - 2022).
