Journey of a husband and wife from Mumbai to Ganpatipule to fulfill a vow.

Gayatri has taken care of her son Kabir as a single mother. But cracks have developed in their relationship as Gayatri always avoids telling Kabir about his father. Kabir's only communication is his aunt Radhika. Gayatri and Radhika send Kabir to a boarding school where he is doing well in all aspects. Dhairya and Dhungya are two mischievous village boys who are sent to boarding school as the villagers want to keep them away. Kabir meets Dhairya and Dhungya and the school starts to witness changes.

The film is about a postman, whose wife has a habit of reading the letters of people. A postman's job is to deliver letters, and initially he never gets involved with the content of the letters. But when his wife comes across a letter and shares the content with her husband, since then the postman also unknowingly gets attached to the recipients and their emotions. The content of the letters make him restless, and somewhere he starts feeling guilty, thinking whether he should help these people. And what comes ahead is a masterpiece journey of his life.
The movie is based on the concept of roaming cinema which was one of the oldest traditions in the bygone era of Indian cinema where the movies were showcased in tents for the local folks also knows as Touring talkies. For the past few decades these films have made a common recurring occurrences in most of the Carnival Fun fair taking place across villages where the Marathi Cinema is adored in a completely distinctive fashion.

Today, there is hardly anyone who hasn't visited the swanky shopping malls, nightclubs, lounge bars, clubs and other such lifestyle destinations that sprung up across the centre of Mumbai. However, very few know that buried deep below these glittering edifices to consumerism lies the dark, dirty and painful reality of many thousands of mill workers who once worked the cotton mills in this very same area. Rising and toiling to the wail of the mill sirens each and every day, seven days a week, these workers embodied the true unbridled zeal and unflagging spirit of the city and played a pivotal role in the evolution of Mumbai as the modern day business capital of India. And then it suddenly was as if they never existed. Following the mill workers strike in the mid-80s, these mills began closing down rapidly and the mill-workers mysteriously disappeared...

Dagdu hasn't changed much since Prajakta left but his attempt to appear again for 10th standard exams proves worthy and with help of his friends he manages to pass out with 36 percent.
