Twins Adam and Eva are so alike, it is impossible to tell them apart, which enables the malicious Eva to get away with all sorts of naughty tricks and leave the blame to fall on Adam. When he discovers that the handsome Dr Prokop Novotny is interested in Eva, he dresses up as Eva and startles the suitor.

Of course, it will not be easy and Líza will have to shed a few secret tears, show vitality and a willingness to fight for her happiness. Then even the viewers of this typical First Republic girl's romance can conclude with emotion that the world is not so bad after all, when a poor girl can achieve success in it through diligence and hard work.
