The down-and-out private detectives Rudi and Moritz join Karin and Gerda on the hunt for an inheritance million. According to the testator's will - Aunt Trude from Buxtehude - the money must be received by Gerda within a week.

Before the police station in Ober-Himmelbrunn is dissolved, the local landlord reports a burglary. The young gendarme Thaler is assigned to solve the case. Disguised as a holidaymaker, he goes to work. In the process, he conquers the hearts of twelve attractive girls who want to spend their holidays in an alpine hut.

Hermann König, owner of an ice palace, wants to make his niece Inge a star. Inge, on the other hand, has a completely different dream - the theater stage. The talented girl then falls head over heels in love with ice hockey player Hans Haller, who also happens to work at the Palace Theater. A game of mistaken identity full of hurdles takes its course...

But then he meets the attractive Christine, who seems to have responded to the ad. The two spend some wonderful days together. But then it turns out that Christine is already engaged. Disappointed, Peter turns away from her. But the two cannot forget each other.
