Aurora and Ben are newlyweds; they have a daughter, Fiona. This family belongs to the middle class of society, but live in harmony and are very happy. Their challenges begin when their nine-year-old daughter is diagnosed with cancer.

The story takes place in March 1999, Kosovo. It is the period of NATO bombing. Massive displacement of Albanians on ethnic basis. Terror, fear, insecurity and hunger have plagued the town of Gjakova.

The film is about Agu, a bear sanctuary guardian who sees his world overturned the night he visits his girlfriend. Lost and without a way out, he finds a resurgence of life when Tina, a young charming woman with many dreams, magically appears in the neighboring apartment.

Arsa, a deaf little girl, and her mother Dodona, an ex-actress, want to be part of "Festival of Performance". Arsa is not on the list of participants but she and her mother are ready to do everything, only to show up on stage and present their unique story, which ends bloodily.
