Terrence Carey is an Actor. Born and raised on the southside of Madison WI, and seasoned in the south loop of Chicago IL. Terrence is a graduate of Columbia College Chicago, with a BA in Theatrical Acting. He’s an alum of The Second City’s National Touring Company and the untitled ETC’s 44th revue–forever lost to the pandemic. RIP. He’s represented by the good people at Stewart Talent, and thanks to them you might have seen him on HBOMAX’s SOUTHSIDE, Showtime’s The CHI, Showtime’s Work In Progress, NBC’s Chicago Med, BET’s Holiday Heist or that “legendary” Bud Light commercial that came out in the summer of 2021. Kombucha is a story about a musician trapped in an office job he couldn't care less about. Luke dreams of being on stage while doing B2B marketing work that feels completely meaningless. His coworkers all sip a red kombucha beverage and seem to have found purpose in this place. When his job seems threatened, and his future as a musician seems bleak, Luke decides to give the free kombucha a try. A feeling of commitment, focus, and belonging washes over Luke as he churns through creating a pitch deck for an upcoming client meeting. Unfortunately, the kombucha has a series of nasty side effects that grow and writhe inside of Luke. Kombucha is a short film that gives new meaning to being consumed by your work.

Trapped in a fluorescent-lit cubicle farm, an aspiring musician thinks the free break room kombucha is a perk - until it begins to change him. What starts with suspicious smiles and team-building ends in a bile-drenched metamorphosis.
