São Paulo, 1984. Agostinho, an old and tired Physics professor, is married to Januária, a retired school principal. In his classes, he begins to feel attracted to one of his students, Márcia, an HIV positive teenager. Quickly, the attraction of the two turns into an impossible love.

On the way back from the swimming practice, Janaina is violently approached by the police. Safe back home, she differently faces her relationship with her father Julio, who’s a policeman.

Free adaptation of Machado de Assis's short story "Pai Contra Mãe", having some of Nireu Cavalcanti's 18th Century chronicles as inspiration, the film traces parallels between life in during the slavery period and in modern Brazil.

Othniel Badaró (Murilo Rosa) is a metallurgist who, after working in a factory for 20 years, is fired. The situation is further complicated because Camila (Gabriela Flores), his wife is pregnant. Disgusted, Othniel decides to cut his own arm and signs his resignation with his own blood. From then it becomes next to Cotton reels (Leandro Firmino da Hora), a film student who lives in the slum and maintains a pirate TV channel. It gets even worse when Othniel have your car stolen.

Fiction based on a true story of Brazilian workers and people living near a pesticide plant, first owned by Shell and then by BASF, that suffered cancers and other severe health problems as a result of land and groundwater contamination around the plant and their fight for justice.

Roberto works hard in his bicycle shop, looks after his family and pays his taxes. One day, after many years of fixing other peoples bikes and filling in tax returns he realizes he is penniless. Like a good citizen, he decides to file for bankruptcy and while waiting in line at the tax office, he is approached by Nancy, a corrupt fiscal lawyer in search of new people to extort. She gives him her business card and the impression that her firm will help him with his dilemma and save his store from insolvency.
