Set in 1994 Baku, the film modernizes Üzeyir Hacıbəyov’s musical comedy "O olmasın, bu olsun" by recasting Rustam Bey as an opposition figure who hopes to reclaim his lost office by courting wealthy businessman Ibka’s family. As in the original, a series of comic deceptions and mismatched identities ensue, though all the principal characters have been updated to fit the post-Soviet Azerbaijani context.

Moshu continues to write his poems, Seylu first does housework and then takes care of his children, especially Khoshu. Rasim remains a hard-working businessman. The situation changes unexpectedly. Ağanatiq is a comedy film about an ordinary taxi driver who witnesses a criminal incident. As he tries to solve the mystery with the help of his quirky friends, a series of absurd and humorous events unfold. The film offers a light-hearted take on friendship, luck, and everyday chaos in Baku.
