Immadi Pulikeshi is based on the story of the famous Kannada ruler Pulakeshin II of the Chalukya dynasty, who was significantly involved in branching out the dynasty to extend over most parts of the Deccan.
Nanda Deepa is a 1963 Indian Kannada-language romantic drama film, directed by M. R. Vittal, making his first venture in film direction.[1] The film was produced and written by actor Vadiraj and co-produced by Jawahar for Sri Bharathi Chitra studio house in its debut production. The film stars Rajkumar and Harini, along with Leelavathi and Udaykumar playing other pivotal roles. The film, upon release garnered wide appreciation and recognition and won the prestigious National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Kannada at the 10th National Film Award. The movie was remade in Gujarati in 1964 as Ramat Ramade Ram - making this the first Kannada movie to be remade in that language. The movie starred Tarla Mehta and Mahesh Kumar in the lead role with popular actor Sanjeev Kumar reprising the role of Udaykumar. While the Kannada version won the National Award, the Gujarati version won eight State awards

Veera Kesari is a 1963 Indian Kannada-language swashbuckler film directed by B. Vittalacharya and produced by Sundarlal Nahatha and Doondi. The film stars Rajkumar, T. N. Balakrishna, Udaykumar and R. Nagendra Rao. The film has musical score by Ghantasala. S. Siddalingaiah was the assistant director of this movie. B. Vittalacharya shot the movie simultaneously in Telugu as Bandipotu, with N. T. Rama Rao.

Sodari is a 1955 Indian Kannada-language film directed by T. V. Singh Thakur. The film stars Pandari Bai, Narasimha Raju and Rajkumar. The music for the film was composed by Padmanabha Shasthri. The story of the film is based on the life of Hemavati, the pious wife of King Kailasanatha. She faces numerous hardships along with her children when Kailasanatha loses his kingdom due to a drought. The actress Jayashree plays a negative role of Chanchaladevi, a cunning relative of Hemavati. The movie is based on GV Iyer's stage play Anna Thangi which was based on the popular legend of Nalla Thangaal whose story had earlier been adapted in Malayalam in 1950 as Nalla Thanka and later in Tamil as Nalla Thangal (1955).

Popular Indian actress Lakshmi made her debut in Kannada cinema with this film. Sri Lankan based actress Sabeetha Perera also made her Indian movie debut with this film. The film had musical score by G. K. Venkatesh with lyrics by R. N. Jayagopal.The film met with highly positive response upon release and paved the way for many more such Bond style of movies in the combination of the director duo with lead actor Rajkumar.
