Sylvie Meis (born April 13, 1978, in Breda; known as Sylvie van der Vaart from 2005 to 2013) is a Dutch presenter, "It girl," and model based in Germany. She first rose to fame as the wife of footballer Rafael van der Vaart. Her television career began in 2003 at the Dutch music channel TMF, after she successfully auditioned there to become a presenter. Subsequently, she hosted shows such as *Fox Kids* and appeared in the beach-themed soap opera *Costa!*. She also conducted interviews with international artists, including Kylie Minogue and Britney Spears. In Germany, Sylvie Meis became best known for her appearances in various RTL programs. From 2008 to 2011—and again in 2018—she served as a judge on the talent show *Das Supertalent*, alongside Dieter Bohlen, Bruce Darnell, and Motsi Mabuse. In 2010, she competed on *Let’s Dance* herself, finishing in second place. From 2011 to 2017, she co-hosted the show alongside Daniel Hartwich; in 2012, the pair received the Bavarian Television Award for their hosting work. Later, she hosted other entertainment programs such as *Stepping Out*, *Sylvies Dessous Models*, and *Täglich frisch geröstet*. Additionally, in 2020, she won the ProSieben show *Schlag den Star* in a matchup against Lilly Becker and participated in *The Masked Singer*, where she was unmasked as the Alpaca. Since 2021, Sylvie Meis has been hosting the reality dating show *Love Island*.
