Acting
Sydney Cross began with a Toronto talent agency at the tender age of two; when she was two and a half she had her first job - a small walk-on role in the Dustin Hoffman movie, "Mr. Magorium's Wonder Emporium". Since then, she has appeared in feature films, made-for-television movies, television series, short films, commercials, and both print and internet advertisements. Sydney has appeared in several student films, allowing her to work with many up-and-coming producers and directors. In 2011 she was invited to the Toronto International Film Festival to attend a screening for "Adventures of Owen", which was chosen by the Toronto Film Critics Association as best short film. In addition to performing for the camera she also participates in live productions, and has been a member of the Milton Youth Theatre Productions since 2009. Sydney also received first place honours at the Canadian Model and Talent Convention, beating out forty six other contestants to win the award for best television commercial. Sydney continues to hone her acting skills through attendance at various workshops and private instruction. In the 2011 - 2012 season she was instructed by Michael Caruana of Bongo Productions, and she continues to work on improving her acting skills through the study of role play, improvisation, and scene study.
