Two Croatian students meet at a party. One, Marina, dedicated to their degree, the other, Marko, somewhat of a rebel. They have a brief fling, have sex, but Marina gets pregnant.

Frustrated by the everyday rut and financial debts, taxi driver Andrija tries to find a way out by selling his family’s house in the country where his brother, a war veteran called Traktor, lives. He invites Traktor to move in with him and his wife Vesna.
