An imaginary biography of Jean Genet, poet and high priest of evil. "Revolt is something I allow myself", said Jean Genet in 1975. Born in Paris in 1910, raised and humiliated in an approved school, a pederast and thief who has been to prison 14 times and expelled from five European countries. His novels are ballads of poisonous beauty, his plays are murky rituals of oppression where each person acts out the role imposed upon him by the others.
The ambitious business consultant and single father Edgar Strack is desperately trying to reconcile family and work needs. Alone: He does not succeed. His three adolescent children are frustrated, his new girlfriend Barbara complains, in the company he is betrayed by a competitor. In his distress, Edgar hired the spirited interpreter Ana, whom he had just fired as a colleague, as a new nanny. And lo and behold: Suddenly everything runs like clockwork again.

The first film in Rudolf Thome's "Forms of Love" trilogy is the most incisive. It's a comedy-drame chronicling the ups and downs in the relationship of an unmarried couple (Adriana Altaras, Vladimir Weigl). When she tries to persuade him that they should have a child, he escapes the controversy by becoming preoccupied with his new aquarium and microscope. Their struggles to settle their differences and accept new responsibilities are presented intelligently, realistically and with low-key wit and irony.
