A new documentary film revisits the golden age of kung fu stuntmen and action directors in Hong Kong during the 1960s-'80s, exploring their pain and struggles. The documentary is a tribute to kung fu stuntmen. “They risked their lives for stunts,” said kung fu choreographer Yuen Bin. In their heyday, these stuntmen and choreographers presented the best, most creative and most complicated kung fu fight sequences anywhere in the world, creating stunts that looked seemingly impossible.

A young couple in love is running away from her father, who is forcing her to marry her cousin, when they are confronted by the father and his henchmen. The suitor fights valiantly against the henchmen but is overwhelmed by their sheer numbers. Thinking that her father had killed him, the young woman, pregnant with her suitor's child, jumps off of a cliff to kill herself, but survives the fall and is taken in by a guardian tiger. Living with the tiger and raising her son, the woman sees her young son grow into manhood and he eventually decides to head back to his mother's village to find out what happened to his father and his grandfather.

Journey of the Doomed stars Tung Wei as a knight that finds himself protecting the life of a beautiful young lady being stalked by a bunch of assassins headed by kung-fu actress extraordinaire Hui Ying-hung. Tung Wei was the kid that Bruce Lee slaps on the head at the beginning of Enter The Dragon. He went on to kung-fu stardom before becoming a highly successful fight director for Jet Li and Jackie Chan.

A popular singer named Ah Hui is approached by gangsters who want him to perform at their nightclub. When Ah Hui rejects, they set him up by making him believe he murdered an innocent man; Of course, Ah Hui falls for it. With nowhere to turn and the fear of being sent to jail, Ah Hui accepts help from the gangsters. In return he has to sign an exclusive singing contract with them. Little does Ah Hui know, they have other sleazy plans in store for him.
