Soviet propaganda film about the Red Army commander, revolutionary M.V.Frunze. The movie covers the period from October to December 1920, the capture of Perekop and the final defeat of Wrangel's army.
Because of the shepherd's negligence, a herd of cows almost died. Many people immediately took advantage of this circumstance to settle personal scores with the collective farm chairman Birulin, a very stroppy and harsh but knowledgeable leader. The bureau of the district committee, where not everyone was happy with him, recommends the collective farm board to remove the chairman. However, the collective farmers do not agree with this decision. The new secretary of the district committee comes to the collective farm and is convinced that the bureau has made a mistake. But the decision to reconsider the case is delayed: Birulin is hospitalized with a heart attack.

Paleographer and writer Anton Glebovich Kosmich finds in the binding of an ancient book a parchment with encrypted information about treasures hidden in the dungeon of the castle. It gradually becomes clear that the last scion of the family of the Olshansky princes, who collaborated with the Nazis during the war, is also looking for the treasure. In the dungeon of the castle, along with treasures of the 17th century, materials from the SD archive are also hidden. The spaceman is in mortal danger.
