Dedi (Dede Yusuf), who married Menul (Ayu Azhari), when they were very young, tries to make a living as a clown at an amusement park. This job does not pay enough for him to make ends meet, so he and a number of his friends try to find a way out of the poverty they are trapped in. The opportunity comes when they find a the wallet of a wealthy man, who is impressed when they return it to him, and provides them with the capital to open a food stall, which they use as a stepping stone toward opening a restaurant. Through this story, the director, Chairul Raya, attempts to depict the way of life of the poor, while using the subplot of the love story between the clown and his wife to display his disdain for the mainstream tendencies in the Indonesian film industry. This film is at once moving and humorous.
After dying from childbirth, a young woman rises from the dead to take revenge on her ex-fiance.
Arya Dwipangga (Baron Hermanto) is disturbing the kingdom of Majapahit in order to wreak revenge on Kamandanu (Sandy Nayoan), while the kingdom assumes that the troublemaker if Mpu Bajil (Wingky Haroen), who is preoccupied with learning the teachings of Aji Segara Geni. As a part of this training, he has already bathed in the blood of seven child descendents of warriors. He is now planning to kidnap the nephew of Kamandanu, Panji (Sawung Sembadha), the child of Dwipangga and Ratih (see Tutur Tinular). A battle ensues between Bajil and Kamandanu, who has been instructed by the king to bring back Bajil’s head.
Riding a white horse, Purbaya, the horseman from Cimande, comes to Sukajadi in search of his parents’ graves. There he runs into an old man who tells his past story. Purbaya is the son of Hamidah and Meureksa, who were murdered by Argasuta. Argasuta was in love with Hamidah and he sent Hasan Botak and Bagus Bantar after her. Upon hearing this, Hamidah turns hysterical and tries to kill Argasuta. But he survives, and Hamidah instead dies in the hands of his underlings. Then the story returns to the present where Purbaya takes his revenge on Argasuta. The film is filled with blood, castrated limbs, and exploding organs.
After a long absence, Siti returns to her childhood village to stay with her widowed aunt Nyi Aminah. Siti quickly becomes suspicious of her aunt’s newfound wealth after she sees a necklace that belongs to someone else in her aunt’s closet. Meanwhile, Sulaiman is given the assignment of investigating the deaths of voluptuous women with wounds found on their breasts, plus find out what became of some missing corpses.
