Three short films about the hidden horrors that lurk behind the urban landscape of Hong Kong.

Ching’s parents are retirees ready to leave for Taiwan where a new chapter awaits them. The only thing holding them back is their daughter’s hesitation to join them. Unbeknownst to them, Ching is stuck in an affair with a married man. She is constantly teetering between trust and distrust, clinging on unfulfilled promises instead of letting go. Life has presented a difficult crossroad to her as she weighs between acting for her own good and following what the heart desires.

In our daydreams, we always dream about who we can be and what we can do. Chak is always living between his dream state – where he is admired and can get any girl he wants – and the reality – where he is constantly teased by his sexually frustrated, foul-mouthed friends. One day, Chak's dream becomes reality when he finds the acceptance of a girl he likes, but cruel reality eventually stops him once more. Instead of running away, Chak must face the real world head-on this time around.

After suffering life changing injuries in the line of duty, bomb disposal officer Fung turns his back on the police. But when a devastating series of bombings sweep Hong Kong, the police suspect their former ally may be involved after he is found unconscious at a crime scene. Now faced with memory loss and recalling only fragments of his former life, Fung sets out to uncover the truth and find out who he really is.

Revolution is pursued for a better love, yet love gets lost in the unpredictable tides of revolution. Veteran actor Lester Chan Chit-Man directs, using the emotions of young people as a thread to connect the Umbrella Movement and the Anti-Extradition Bill protests. When emotions meet politics, social movements and love become intertwined, as four college students drift through their youth. Whispers and embraces, gazes or walking together—the nights in the occupied zones once brought us together. Documentary footage and fictional stories alternate, perhaps evoking memories of the happiness and sorrow of these past years. We thought revolution would ultimately succeed, that it didn’t matter whether we gathered or dispersed. But in the end, we became strangers scattered around the world, only then realizing that regret is inevitable in youth and that looking back always brings a sense of emptiness.

Chi is a lousy real estate agent who muddles through life. Growing up, his mother has always told him to lead a simple life, until he reunites with his primary school P.E. teacher, Mr Wong. Mr Wong, who’s been increasingly ill, wants to keep his promise to his late wife to finish a 10k race; At the same time, his student, an overweight student called Tin Sum aims to finish her first ever 5k race just so she can run with her idol. As Mr Wong and Tin Sum fight for their goals, Chi, discouraged, stands at a crossroad and roams aimlessly in life. Until one day, memories from 20 years ago light up Chi’s world. For once in his life, Chi swears to cheer himself on.
