Fotis and Kosmas are partners in a country resort. They are not so concerned with their work as they are with their unmarried sisters. A poor man, Angelis Katsavidis, and his hard-of-hearing friend Stratos leave their village and come to Athens in search of a better life. However, while she assigns them to follow an illicit couple, she actually wants to throw dust in the eyes of a police officer who suspects her of running a network of high-class prostitutes.
