The third-generation Shimazu Clan leader, Tetsuo Sakuragi (Yasukaze Motomiya), arranges a meeting with Kenichi Kanamori (Yoshiyuki Yamaguchi), but Kanamori refuses to listen. Hidetoshi Kaji (Hitoshi Ozawa), the head of the Koga Family, takes matters into his own hands and eliminates Natsuo Hiroshige (Eiichi Furui), a former member of Shimazu’s Shinseikai faction, who was secretly working to link Kanamori with the Ichikō Alliance. As Sakuragi and Kaji struggle to address the Kanamori issue, Kanamori’s ties with the Ichikō Alliance deepen, leaving Sakuragi on the verge of giving up. Amidst discussions of Kanamori becoming a sworn brother to Shingo Ōtatsu (Yoshihiro Fujiwara), the Ichikō Alliance’s headquarters chief, Sakuragi sends assistant underboss Naruhide Funaki (Yuma Ishigaki) to infiltrate Kanamori’s group. Funaki desperately tries to prevent Kanamori’s alliance with Ichikō but ultimately reveals a certain truth to Kanamori that changes everything…
