An erotic fantasy story in which actress Yoko Satomi plays the role of a mysterious slutty housekeeper. Koji, a dull office worker, buys unsold goldfish and returns home, but his wife Emi runs away from home after a petty quarrel. There is an awkward atmosphere with his daughter Yukiko, who is a ronin student, but the situation changes when Izumi, who is a housekeeper, tutor and an experience-based sex counselor, shows up. An intense sexual experience is on the horizon, full of lust, love and forbidden desires.

The first part, "My Brother's Lover," tells the story of a gay man's sister falling for his boyfriend. Graduate student Takeo lives with his sister, but he can't bring himself to tell her about his gay boyfriend, Riku. When Riku comes over to their house to have sex with Takeo, his sister falls in love with him. The second part, "His Child," tells the story of Akihiko, a man who falls for his straight friend and ends up looking after his friend's baby at his request. His lover, Yuki, can't stand seeing the baby. Is balancing love and child-rearing just as difficult for gay men?

A couple of men and women who look happy. However, each of them was living another life that the other did not know. Their words, which at times seem to betray their own feelings, crystallize into a dry ending.

Director Daisuke Goto, the master of the cinematic Pink Eiga, is back with this retelling of the classic film noir, The Postman Always Rings Twice. A married woman, tasked with running her handicapped husband’s failing printing business, meets a drifter and they fall in love. Soon a plan to murder the husband is put into motion and the forces of fate begin to show their hand. Featuring bravura filmmaking, fantastic performances and steamy sex, the Mourning Wife is a worthy follow up for any fan of Daisuke Goto’s masterpiece A Lonely Cow Weeps at Dawn.
