Forough Farrokhzad, one of Iran's greatest modern poets, provoked uproar by daring to write of female sensuality in the face of society's traditional values. Her awakening found expression in poetry, theatre, and cinema, enabling art, as she saw it, to be a 'window through which we see ourselves sing, shout and cry'.

The truth carries a heavy burden, whether it is said that it sets off a storm, or it remains in the heart that disturbs man. Between telling the truth and revealing a secret or being silent and expedient, one is preferable to the other.

A welfare organization inspector who is investigating the financial violations of one of the centers, notices a gang of economic corruption and drug transit by abused girls.

Tehran, 1967 - A young man goes to a photography studio to pick up his ID photos, but the ones he is given do not look like him. The time passes at the studio solving the problem leads to the initiation of a romantic relationship with the receptionist. Meantime, in another part of the studio, the renowned Iranian poet and director, Forough Farrokhzad, is being recorded as she is reciting her last poem, a few hours before her tragic death in a car accident.

Tehran's air pollution has reached maximum levels because of thermal inversion. Unmarried 30-something Niloofar lives with her aged mother, and stays busy with her alterations shop. When doctors insist that her mother must leave smoggy Tehran for her respiratory health, Niloofar’s brother and family elders decide that she must also move away to accompany her mother. Now Niloofar is torn between family loyalty and living her own life. As the youngest she has always obeyed their orders. Can she stand up for herself this time?

Two families who live in neighborhood in south of Tehran have different looks to life. These differences make some troubles for both.
