A new version of "Romeo and Juliet", only the events of the film are developing in modern Moscow, and the main characters are a carefree motorcyclist named Flame and the daughter of a billionaire Lena.

Kristina, a student at an English university, comes on vacation to the house of her father, a successful businessman. A man has long lost his wife and introduces his daughter to his new love Natalia. However, the flighty, spoiled, accustomed to luxury and easy money, Kristina does not want to accept her.

The movie is based on Zakhar Prilepin's autobiographical novella "The Forest". The story focuses on the father and son who spend every summer in the village of Isttsy, where they raft down the local Istya River. They have done so for several years, but this time things go astray: a harmless adventure turns into a real disaster. Much later the grown-up son remembers his father through the lens of the past years.
