Danila goes to his successful brother, Victor, in Petersburg to start a new life. Unknown to Danila, Victor is a contract killer, but is in hiding after asking for too much money to assassinate a Chechen mob boss. To avoid exposure, Victor convinces Danila to kill the boss instead.

The Director of Photography is a rare opportunity to talk to filmmakers about filmmakers. This is not a conversation about their life, but about the profession that is the meaning of their life, an attempt, through their personal statements, to form an understanding of what is the modern concept of camera art, what is the literacy of the craft and what is the real content of camera work in practical concepts and categories. This is a mention of several main names in the profession of cinematographer, who today are associated with the most important events in national and world cinema.
A film about the life and work of cinematographer Sergei Astakhov, who has directed more than seventy full-length films, including the cult films “Brother” and “Brother-2”, the public’s favorite film “In Love of His Own Will”, and the most complex films of recent times – “Salute” -7”, “Heart of Parma” and many others. The secret of Astakhov’s success is a unique combination of artistic intuition with the talent of an engineer-inventor. The film shows Astakhov in a variety of manifestations: on the set, and during the construction of his house, and during the construction of a chapel, and at a children's Christmas party. And everywhere he is invariably charming with his energy and love of life!

The film “We Others Will Not” emerged as a direct continuation of numerous meetings and conversations with Sergei Bodrov Jr. and Alexei Balabanov. The idea to reflect again on the phenomenon of Sergei Bodrov Jr.’s identity belongs to Evgeniy Nikishov and Valeriy Fedorovich. Together we decided to go on this difficult journey. Close friends and colleagues talk about Sergei: the producer Sergei Selyanov, the designer Nadezhda Vasilyeva, the composer Vyacheslav Butusov, the cinematographer Sergei Astakhov, and also… Sergei Bodrov Jr. and the director Alexei Balabanov, whose films “Brother” and “Brother 2” acquired popular fame at the threshold of the 2000s.

Terror strikes the underground train system in Moscow in the form of a flood from a collapsed tunnel. The film follows a diverse group of Moscow citizens who find themselves trapped in the city’s underground rail network, their train derailed and virtually crushed after an aging tunnel collapses. Amongst this band of survivors is softly spoken surgeon Andrey (Sergei Puskepalis), whose wife is having an affair with the conceited businessman Vlad (Anatoly Beliy). Fate brings these two men together on the same doomed train, but there is little time to resolve their differences, as the tunnel begins to quickly fill with water, forcing them to work together with the others and find a way back to the surface.
World War II is raging on the Eastern front but the soldier Nikanor has been sent to Siberia: bot as a prisoner, but as the leader of a motley group of entertainers who travel from village to village giving concerts. Still, Big Brother is watching and when the entertainers encounter a strange man in the woods there is trouble brewing. One of the performers falls in love with the mysterious backwoodsman, but the secret service is after him, too.
