A group of young people living in quiet villages at the foot of the Taurus Mountains set out to make a movie with amateur enthusiasm. However, the calendar shows that the country is in the midst of the turbulent and tense days of the 1970s.

Seven years before the first film, Xate, still living in her husband Aziz Veysel’s shadow, is about to become the region’s first female mayor when a routine morning send-off for Aziz turns explosive, reigniting the fierce rivalry between Xate and the power-hungry Faruk. Their conflict escalates further when there’s an unexpected call for snap elections.

In a field surrounded and squeezed by increasing industrialization, an immigrant family, deep in financial debt, struggles to survive through traditional farming. Their son, Ibrahim, dreams of a different future for himself.
