Chow Yun Fat plays a police inspector named Cheng who is killed in the line of duty while trying to nab a crook. One of his close friends, Chang Lei (Cheung Lui), decides to take back his resignation letter and track down the crook at any cost.

When the local thugs harass a restaurant owner's daughter, Shuang Shuang, a mysterious stranger named Yung Feng fends them off. While Yung Feng is off to the local brothel to find his long lost sister, Shuang Shuang gets sexually assaulted by the thugs, who are later killed by something hiding in the woods.
