Asai Takuma is a fourth year college student who is having a hard time finding a job and is desperate for the sake of his future with girlfriend, Shintani Risa. One day, he was asked out by his childhood friends Eiichi and Mamiko to dig out a time capsule that was buried 10 years ago. The time capsule contains a letter from Takuma himself in the past. However, Takuma also receives a letter from himself 10 years later with a "shocking future". He decides to collaborate with the future him to change his life.

The national university entrance examination is coming up and the students of Class 3/4, which Onizuka Eikichi (AKIRA) is in charge of, enter exam mode. Tomoka is excited and introduces him to an apartment with a view of Mount Sakurajima, which is her top recommendation. However, Kojiro suddenly says, "I want a house where I can't see Sakurajima."

Upon being sent to live with relatives in the countryside due to an illness, an emotionally distant adolescent girl becomes obsessed with an abandoned mansion and infatuated with a girl who lives there - a girl who may or may not be real.

To fight the first signs of dementia, the same illness that took the life of his beloved wife, 71-years old Kenji joins the Long and Healthy Life Club, where he befriends the eccentric Mr Hashimoto. His biggest fear is becoming a burden to others, while Hashimoto struggles to come to terms with his failing body. In their quest to stay healthy, they decide to take a swimming class where they meet Kaori, a once-professional athlete turned swimming teacher. Like Kenji, Kaori struggles with the fact that she’s past her peak, but through the swimming lessons, they both find a new perspective on life.
