Max and Min are about to break up. They argue endlessly about dividing their possessions, including their cat, Meowzaki, whom they have named after their favorite artist Miyazaki Hayao. Max’s father Ramesh, who lost his wife and has since been suffering from insomnia, meets charming therapist Dhaara. Max’s grandfather Sridhar, secretly enjoys drinking with his new friend Jennifer at the nursing home.

Sruthy soon becomes pregnant but dies of complications in childbirth. Siva is left to raise his son on his own. Many years pass, and Siva's son begins to treat him badly, leaving Siva destitute. At the same time, Karthik informs Siva that Sathya is in her death bed due to heart problems. In due course of time, Sathya dies. The film ends as Karthik and Siva, both widowers, walk together vowing to remain good friends for the remainder of their lives.

Taking a leaf from Hindu mythology, it revolves around Mareecha, Ravanan's brother and Idumban. Mareecha and Idumban both love Mandakini. But Mandakini loves Mareecha. Hence Mareecha and Idumban often cross swords with each other. Mareecha in the guise of a deer to attract Sita is killed by Lord Rama and according to a curse turns into a rock.
