Biography
Samar began acting in her hometown of Mosul in 1968, and her first play was Oedipus King. In the early seventies, Samar moved to Baghdad, where her actual artistic career began with dozens of roles in radio and television productions as well as in the theater. She participated in many art festivals in Arab and foreign countries, the last of which was the Algiers Festival, in which she participated with the play The Baghdad Circle of Love. Her last theatrical participation was in the play Masoud's Dream, while her last role on TV was in the series The Lion of Babel. She also participated in several children's plays, the most recent of which was the play Worood and the Secret of the Cluster, which was shown at the Children's Festival in Baghdad, and she won the Best Actress Award for her role in this play.

Bagdad My Rosy Dream
The events of the film take place in the year 2008, during a period of security instability that gradually tends towards relative stability. The story highlights the struggle of Iraqi women and their determination to organize their family lives amid exceptional circumstances that placed all Iraqis under threat.
The Boat
A love story unfolds between a girl and a young man in one of the coastal areas. They become involved in a physical relationship, resulting in her becoming pregnant. Tragically, her lover dies in an accident. Fearing disgrace, she attempts suicide, but is rescued by a kind-hearted fisherman who falls in love with her and cares for her in his small cottage. However, the girl dies after giving birth to their child, leaving the fisherman in shock.
The Sad Dawn
Amidst the turmoil of the 1991 war, parents faced a harrowing choice: to protect their loved ones from bombs and missiles, they sought refuge in shelters. In Baghdad's Amiriyah shelter, 450 souls found solace, but tragedy struck at dawn when two US missiles, guided by precision, ravaged the sanctuary, leaving devastation in their wake. The film revolves around a young writer who meets many people and listens to their problems and dreams. Through the stories of these individuals, the film explores the social issues plaguing society. The topics addressed include the commercialization of medicine, neighborhood issues related to maintenance, and the phenomenon of begging as a profession. The film shows that the dreams and problems of these characters reflect those of the viewers themselves

Almuneataf
