The third part of Bulat Mansurov's planned epic film series; “The Saga of the Ancient Bulgars". The film is dedicated to the formation of the Ancient Russian state and Eurasian culture under the rule of Genghis Khan.

Yasha recently retired after serving many years at a factory, with a highlight of his career being a delegate of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union in 1976. Yet his future is left unknown when he emerges in new realities that he finds difficult to accept. The world has changed after the collapse of the Soviet Union, yet he tries to hold on to what once was. Thus enters former Soviet leader Leonid Brezhnev. Appearing like Yasha’s alter ego, he guides Yasha, giving amusing commentary and voicing what Yasha should say or do. Brezhnev’s presence gives way for more historical leaders that Yasha idolises to arrive. Nicolae and Elena Ceausescu, Fidel Castro and Che Guevara, Josip Broz Tito and Erich Honecker, and even the African dictator Jean Bedel-Bokassa all make an appearance! When Yasha takes an oath of loyalty to them, this creates trouble for his family.

Grandfather Mazai saves not only hares, but also other famous heroes — Mumu, the Persian princess, Robinson, and even the Titanic.

Summer 2022. A group of our volunteers — drone reconnaissance operators — led by an officer with the call sign "Moscow" arrives for a rotation in a small village somewhere in the Zaporizhzhia region, practically on the front line. There, they establish contact with a local family who refused to abandon their home. Despite forecasts from command — which considers this direction secondary and expects the enemy's main assault elsewhere — the enemy launches a breakthrough here, at dawn. "Moscow's" group must carry out their combat mission, with almost no chance of making it out alive.

The film's central premise is that a person only truly understands their true nature in extreme situations. The harsh conditions of the wild Pamir Mountains, where the film's main action unfolds, reveal the deepest foundations of the protagonists' personalities and motivations, forcing them to "wake up" from the mindless daily grind of the big city and make a crucial choice that can mean the difference between life and death. It is here, in the Pamir Mountains, at an altitude of several thousand meters, far from civilization, that a person understands who they are. And receives what they deserve...
