Boraie is a blind beggar who is helped by his beautiful daughter Merzouka in making a big fortune. The swindler Sursock convinces Merzouka to steal her father's fortune then leaves her and flees with the money to Alexandria where he becomes the owner of an export and import company.
The film takes place in a social drama framework, where (Nabila) works as a teacher in Cairo, and on her first day of work she quarrels with (Hoda), the spoiled and stubborn daughter of the former minister because of the death of her mother when she was young. Abdel Fattah, (Hoda's) father, invites Nabila to apologize to her, but he falls in love with her and marries her.
(Nabil) is a young engineer who lives happily with his daughter (Mona) and his wife (Wafaa). He is a partner with his friend (Safwat) in the same office. Nabil sees a young man throwing himself with the intention of committing suicide. Nabil saves him from committing suicide, but Nabil drowns while saving him. This young man regrets his actions and tries to fix his mistake by getting close to Nabil's widow.
