A young transgender woman balances her life as a metal worker with a complicated inner emotional world, while also navigating the realization that she and her girlfriend seem to be telepathic.
Three people face their fears in unusual ways. Their fears range from the conventional - like thunderstorms, kidnapping, social rejection, and home invasion to the increasingly strange - involving dopplegangers, invocation of demons in occult rituals and.... cereal bags coming to life.
Wish is a visual poem about a mother and her son who live a rather isolated existence. Reality shifts between layers as they seem to exist in both this world and possibly other worlds. Loosely based on Beauty and the Beast, Wish is a fairytale without a clear narrative, focusing instead on the invisible emotions that moments create. The film shows us an experience of alienation that can be at once both full of magic and deep sadness.
