And there was a count who liked her, but he liked the gold she brought with her to his house even better. And because he was greedy and wanted more and more gold, he decided that he too would weave the threads, even if his fingers were to fall off. And so he wove and wove, forgetting all that was good and beautiful around him. The girl, his friends, the whole world. But until then, the golden threads are woven, until the yarn breaks and fate says enough...

Engineer Lenoir futilely fends off journalists interested in his latest invention. It is not yet finished, but already foreign countries are interested in it, and even foreign secret services are getting their teeth into it. But Lenoir needs to finish his "death pill" in peace. So he hires the police to protect him. He plans to finish the job on the cruise yacht of a Kanuche factory worker, which the police prefect himself recommends as the perfect disguise. But the true purpose of the engineer's "trip" is overheard by a sensationalist reporter, Philippe Plafeau, who sneaks onto the boat disguised as a lifeguard. But he's not the only one. The other lifeguards are actually undercover police officers. Lenoir's new butler is also not who he says he is, nor is the suitor of Lenoir's daughter, Count Dubois...

The heroes of the story are animals and it takes place in the environment of a stunt farm. Victoria, a young and talented mare, is brought here just as the farm's existence is beginning to be threatened. She can only be saved by the outstanding performance of the animals at an audition for an upcoming film. Smart Victoria, who finds everything she learns engaging and fun, makes new friends on the farm. But she also encounters envy, cowardice and hostility from competitors, as well as people who threaten the farm. The animal inhabitants of the farm, regardless of race, must join forces, overcoming many dangers and adventurous peripetias to help their friends - the stuntmen.

Inspired by true events of the 1989 Czech and Slovak Velvet Revolution and Václav Havel's controversial release of 23000 prisoners. In addition to the story of three families affected by communist persecution, the film Amnesty also deals with the uprising of prisoners in Leopoldov, which required military intervention. The uprising was preceded by a broad amnesty granted by Václav Havel in January 1990, just a few days after his election as Czechoslovak president.
