Henrique Casanova is an expert in Egyptian history. A strict father, dedicated researcher and obedient husband, he is admired by people. But, when he travels for work, he takes the opportunity to win over beautiful women.

Based on a radio show that was broadcast for 11 years (1947-1958) and ended only when the host and creator, the genius Henrique Foreis "Almirante" Domingues, had a stroke. There were hundreds of horror stories, supposedly true, sent by listeners from all corners of the country, radiophoned and broadcast by Rádio Tupi in Rio de Janeiro. It became a book in 1951 (reissued in 1984), a film in 1969 and a TV show in 1994-1995, broadcast by the extinct Rede Manchete.

Zezé sets off to find her supposed father and ends up getting disastrously involved in the singer's life.

Eldorado, a fictitious country in America, is sparkling with the internal struggle for political power. In the eye of this social convulsion, the jaded journalist Paulo Martins opposes two equally corrupt political candidates: a pseudopopulist and a conservative. Márcia discovers that her husband is having an affair and decides to take a trip out into an isolated part of Brazil with little human contact. There she finds a black stallion roaming the fields.

Divided into three episodes based on stories by Stanislaw Ponte Preta (Sérgio Porto), the film portrays three young people from Rio de Janeiro: a furious lover, a beautiful beachgoer, and a former beauty queen. All live in profound solitude amid the apparent social vibrancy of Copacabana.
