The event took place on January 21, 2023, at the Yokohama Arena in Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan. The event was held in honor of the company's founder Antonio Inoki, who died on October 1, 2022.

After Wednesday night’s B Block finals, the full card has now been determined for the G1 Climax 31 final on Thursday October 21.
