When journeyman Cem turns up at the carpentry workshop, Maria decides to join Cem on a three-year journey against the wishes of her father and her boyfriend

Jochen, a man in his forties, has achieved little in his life. Through an abstruse incident, he gets to know his grown-up daughter Hanna, whom he knew nothing about until then. From now on he wants to be a dad his daughter can be proud of. So, animated by a television report, he begins to train for a triathlon.
